Why The Hell Do I Do This?
It would be fair to call it a compulsion. I do feel the NEED to make music. Like many people, I've enjoyed music for as long as I can remember. That expanded into a desire to play and create music in my teens.
And it's always been about rock and roll - one of the first songs I sang along to was "Smoke on the Water". Of course, I've diversified my tastes a little on the journey. But when it all gets processed and regurgitated, it's rock and roll.
Trying to define the style is not particularly cut and dry. People older than me will call it metal. Younger people will call it rock. I tend to lean towards the "rock" moniker, with healthy handfuls of metal sprinkled in.
